Recall information
Updated over a week ago

Recall information allows you to pull information you already have into your questions to personalize the form experience.

This can be answers to previous questions, or any Variables you are using in your form.

1. From your Workspace, start a new form. Then choose a Short Text question and write your text: “What’s your name?”

2. To create your next question, click the + symbol again. Let’s choose a Email question.

To make it more personal, we’ll use the name they entered in the previous question.

Recall information

Type in your question, and where you want to use the name from question 1, just type the @ symbol. This will allow you to recall information from another question in your form. Select question 1 - “What’s your name” from our first question and the answer from this question will appear in your question text:

From now on, when respondents answer your form, they'll see their name (or whatever else they chose to type) in the second question!

3. Then you can add one or more Endings (Thank you screen) to finish off your form:

You can also reference the answers to previous questions using Recall information in Thank You Screens - just hit the @ key and choose from the list of available items. Here, we'll use it to mention the respondent's answer to 'What's your name?' in the Thank you screen, and give it a more personal goodbye:

Where can I use Recall information?

- You can use Recall information anywhere in your form: Questions, Statements, or Thank You Screens.

Remember that your recall options depend on the information available at that point in your form. For example, you can't recall the answer to question #9 in the text of question #2.

- You can also use Recall information in Email notifications. For example, you can choose to recall answers in the email text, which you'll be sending to yourself or your respondents to show the answers to each question in your form.

What values can I use with Recall information?

  • Answers from previous questions

  • Variables

  • Score (if using Logic)

  • Price (if using a Payment question)
